Hey Guys! BIG news!

I've been itching to announce this for months!

Some of should already be aware of the work Jason and I have been doing with the good people of Classical Comics [link] ; over the past few years we've worked on 3 titles between us; "Henry V", "Frankenstein" and "Great Expectations". Well for the first time ever Jason and I have been given a unique opportunity to flex our creative muscles and have a go at not only colouring, but designing, drawing and digitally painting a title all to ourselves! That's right, we're making a graphic novel from start to finish, and our title of choice is none other than William Shakespeare's fantastic romantic comedy; "A Midsummer Night's Dream"!

Some of you with a more keen eye for deduction might have started to get an inkling with posts such as these over the past few months;



They were just some of the concept work that I put together to pitch for the job, but I'm pleased to say that contracts are drawn up, signed and production has been started for a couple of months now! To say we're really excited about this prospect is an understatement! After having wanted to work on this title for over 2 years it's great that we're finally starting production!

This book will have exceptionally high production values (as all the Classical Comics titles do) with 120 pages of full colour comic artwork, plus information pages on the comic making process, the play and Shakespeare himself. It's due to be complete in spring 2010 to give it a release date of Midsummer, for more information you can keep an eye on this page of the classical comics website;

Finally, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for an opportunity to have your original character design featured as a background character in this book! - I'll not say too much yet, but anyone who might be interested should get those thinking hats on to design some fun and unique looking fairies and goblins - you could even win a copy of the finished book!
